Start the year off right, and join our Race for Rehab community as we Go Strong for Spaulding. Open to people of all ages and abilities, our fun and inclusive series of fitness challenges begin January 1!

Studies show the top new year’s resolution is to get in shape. Start the new year off right by joining Go Strong 2022, Spaulding’s month-long fitness challenge. Beginning January 1st, Go Strong is open to people of all ages, abilities and athletic interests. Get active and join us for a chance to win great prizes while supporting Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Participants in Go Strong will commit to raising a minimum of $200 in support of Spaulding’s President’s Fund. The more you raise, the more opportunities to win great prizes!

Month-Long Challenge:

January Challenge—20 for 22: Participate in at least 20 minutes of physical activity for 22 days in January (days do not have to be consecutive). The top three overall fundraisers and the participant with the most donors (regardless of gift size) at the end of January will win special prizes.

Week-Long Challenges:

Special prizes for weekly fundraising milestones to be announced with each challenge. These 7-day challenges start on the Monday of each week (January 3, 10, 17, and 24).

Week 1 Challenge—Healthy and Happy

Exercise can reduce stress, improve self-esteem, and contribute to overall happiness. Start out 2022 strong—exercise for at least 4 days this week and share what makes you happy after each session to be entered to win.

Week 2 Challenge—Stronger by the Day!

This week’s challenge is all about going the distance. The top 10 percent of participants who record the most minutes of physical activity of their choice will be entered to win.

Week 3 Challenge—Get Outside: Rain, Snow, or Shine!

Studies have shown being outdoors lowers levels of cortisol, a hormone that’s a marker of stress. Participate in at least 15 minutes of outdoor physical activity all 7 days this week and be entered to win. Take a photo each day and post it in our Facebook group to be eligible for more prizes.

Week 4 Challenge—Mix It Up

Switching out your type physical activity can keep you motivated, improve endurance, and reduce risk of injury. Try a new form of exercise for at least 3 days this week and share its pros and cons with the team afterwards to be entered to win.

I, the “Participant,” wish to participate in the 2022 Go Strong program, being held during the month of January in 2022. I agree to raise and/or contribute a minimum of $200 to Spaulding and will be personally responsible for the difference if I fail to collect the required funds by February 1, 2022. I will set up my personal fundraising page at the direction of team management and will provide a valid credit card with an expiration date of after March 2022. Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital reserves the right to charge my credit card to achieve all fundraising deadlines. Funds raised will not be returned or refunded under any circumstance. In consideration of my accepting this entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all rights for claims and damages I may have against Spaulding, its employees, volunteer, officers and sponsors for any and all injuries suffered or sustained by me in said event, in the training and planning sessions for said event, or from any of the preceding. I further attest and certify that I am physically fit. I also grant permission for use of my name, photograph or voice in broadcast, telecast, print or any other account of this event—indefinitely—and agree to waive any compensation for such use. I declare that I have exercised my own judgment in signing this agreement and I further declare that the decision to sign this agreement was voluntary and not based on—or influenced by—any representation of Spaulding.
